Pop Warner

Hey guys! The reason I haven't been on my blog for a long time is because I've been so busy this summer. Anyway, I play Pop Warner football for a team called the Saints. We're 4-0, which means we won 4 games, and lost none. The four teams we played were the Patriots, Nights, Red Birds, and and Tigers, and won all of them! When I played last year, I was a shadow, but this year me and another kid named Tyler are the teams best players. I play Running Back for offense, and Safety for the defense. The next game we play is versing the Bulldogs, and I won't be able to play that game because I have an important hockey tournament called the Jamboree.

The coaches saw that I could catch, and Tyler could throw, so put the us together, and we could pass! The first pass play is just a bomb throw. It worked about five times in all the games we played!

I'll let you know about any other football things.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... Guess what?

In about two more weeks (September), me, my leader, my brothers, and other knights will be able to start another new year in the kingdom! For those of you who don't know, we can't go into the swamp because of ticks. Remember? Ticks like hot, and damp weathers... and it's summer... and now that summer is near over and it will get a little cooler*, another swamp year can start! Yipee! The first things our knights need to do is build tunnels again. Since I'm deputy**, I need to organize the patrols to make the tunnels. Then we have to chop down trees that took over our kingdom in the summer (only the ones we need to be cut down) which all the aprentices, and knights can particapate in***. After that, we then go and find rocks, sticks, and other aurmor to use, and to defend our kingdom. After that, we can finally began apprentice training sessions, and cross into Kids Valley****! I will update you on what happens.

*Get it? It going to be colder, then it will be cool!

**My leader announced me being deputy!! Yes!

***The only person who won't be helping is my leader!

****Name is changed to The Hill of Gonchard.

Story of the world Mini Museum!

So when my brothers, dad and I were studing on Egypt, and Mesopotamia, we got the craziest, but cooliest idea: make a mini muesum! The muesum will be inside, and I might have to use my room as an exhibit! We are going to mummify a chicken; make a mini pyrmiad; and do other progects like that. Me and my brother are in charge of the online muesum (the website, and maybe a blog). The muesuem may should be open no later than January 2010. I will create a post about the website address.

I forgot, My Garden!

I never told you guys about my dad's garden in our backyard. There is a compost bin, a herb garden, and a vegtable garden. The plants my dad is growing are watermelon, lots of lettuce, Swis Chard, Callalou, cabbage, hot peppers, sun bell peppers, brocolli, califlower, strawberries, cucumbers, tomatoes, egg plant, and maybe somemore that I can't remember from the top of my full head.

Remember that camp? When Taylor got out? Well, that camp is done. We are having a "Harvest day" for all the homeschoolers to have a vegtable soup or something like that. The funny thing about the compost bin is that cucumber seedlings are growing in the compost bin! It's so funny.

The tomatoes grow fast! Me and my brother Akili got to pick about 30 of them with those big ones! I tried one, and it tasted so sweet, I could of ate all 30 of them!

A Day at the Zoo

So the other day I was at the zoo. YAY! It was fun, but not as exciting as watching a hockey game on TV. All the exhibits we went to were amazing, but in my personal opinion, the otters were the best (especially when they were in the water!). One of them kept swimming up to the glass where I was, then it did a flip!  I also went to see the leopard. You won't believe this, it was resting on the highest rock in his habitat!! I have the picture to prove it! That was enjoyable, but my brothers thought feeding goats and sheeps was better. I didn't want to get greased with slime from the sheep! Are you kidding?  Next we went to see the buffalo and the elk. The thing is that the elk was in the same habitat as the buffalo! Aren't elk prey to buffalo? Apparently not! The elk was taking a bath, and the buffalo was sleeping. What a great scene.

So, then we went to see some prarie dogs, but they wern't that exciting, so we left after a few minutes. Next, we were approached by a zoo teacher that was about to start a class with live animals, and we went to it.  The class was about birds. She showed us an Australian bird whose feathers looked like bark so that it could not be easily seen by its' prey and predators, but I forgot what it was called.   She also showed us a screech owl (I think)?  So, after that class, we went to see a...

CROCODILE!!!     A real live crocidile. It was cool. I named it Evan. Then we turned around and found ourselfs face-to-face with a barn and a great-horned owl sitting on its' perch.  After, that we walked into "Wild New Jersey," where I saw a bobcat that was pacing, a porcupine, a bald eagle, a type of crow, and the fastest bird (I  think it was the Peregrine Falcon)!  I  remember reading that the bird can fly at a speed of 200 miles per hour! After several hours of looking at cool animals, our day was over. Now here I am, writing this memory post.

Highlights of My Week

Hey guys, all week I've been busy!  Here are some activities that happened in my week:

* My two younger brothers had a hockey game, they won. The score was something like 14-8. I didn't watch the whole game because I was busy practicing on a fake rink!

* Guess what? I'm on page 97 in Swamp City. I'm going to probably write up to 200 hundred or 300 hundred pages. I dunno!

* I found a map-making program for the computer, but I'm having difficulties making my Swamp City map... the program just... doesn't make sense to me.

* Also, on www.mycentraljersey.com/ssreader, you can read me and my brother's book reviews. I did one of mine on Eggs, by Jerry Spinelli, and my brothers is on Frindle, by Andrew Clements.

* I have good news (for me). My brothers and I are getting 2010 bikes! We have to look through the catolog to find our bikes.

* I read The Story of Helen Keller. Yeah, I read it yesterday, in an hour.

* I started a new book called Robbers, and I'm not even three chapters into it yet.

* (This is not good, it's bad, for me). My best friend went to Florida to look for a new house.

* I am getting this post published.
